Partner Camila Tapias talked to O Globo newspaper in a story about the Tax Reform proposals which are currently being discussed at the Brazilian Congress.
According to Camila, the most recent Doing Business report produced by the World bank revealed that Brazil tops the report paying taxes rank – companies need to spend 1.958 hours to organize themselves and pay all their taxes during the year. That is due to bureaucracy and disputes against tax authorities.
Camila says that, as a consequence, companies in Brazil spend around 0.2% to 3.6% of their annual revenue to comply with all the bureaucracy – the world avarage is lower then 0.1%.
