Our lawyer Taís Capitanio was interviewed on the Record News program about the extended deadline for filing the individual Income Tax (IR) this year.
Until last year, the deadline for the procedure ended in April. Now, taxpayers will have from March 15 to the end of May to submit the IR documentation for the base year 2022.
“The IRS receives all the information from the paying sources, all the income, and even created the mechanism of the pre-filled declaration where it already presents the taxpayer with a pre-prepared declaration of the income he had that year,” says Taís. “Even so, taxpayers need to revisit this data and review the information because there may be errors in the RF system itself,” she warns.
